Speaker: Sia Thang Tawng — The Reasons Why Jesus Came into the World
Sometimes broken people are called to minister to broken people, and they are made alive by the Word of God.
The Holy Spirit gave me a message for tonight’s service—to share the reason why Jesus came into the world.
There are several reasons why Jesus came into the world, but these are the top three I will be sharing tonight.

1. Jesus came into the world to save us from the power of sin
Matthew 1:21
“She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
Jesus did not come into the world to condemn you, harm you, or make you a sinner.
He came into the world to save you from the sins you hide.
1 Timothy 1:15
“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the foremost.”
Sometimes you may ask yourself:
Am I still a sinner, or am I righteous in the eyes of God?
Jesus chose to save us.
There is no other way to be saved except through the cross. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He paid the price for all of our sins.
Grace is unmerited favor. Grace is not just a word—it is a person. Jesus is grace. The person of grace came into the world.
Grace is God’s rescue mission. He did not wait for us to stop sinning; He came down to give us the power to stop sinning.
There is no sin that the blood of Jesus Christ cannot wash away. Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

2. Jesus came into the world to show a love that is personal and specific
Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
The love that Jesus has for you is personal. He loves you just the way you are.
Sometimes we ask ourselves:
Where is my love? Am I loved by someone?
We search for a perfect love.
There is no perfect love in people, but the love of God through Jesus never dies and never changes. He loves you for who you are.
Sometimes we try so hard to earn God’s love. But you cannot earn it—you simply receive it.
Perfect love casts out all fear.
Romans 5:8
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
We cannot earn this kind of love. While we were still sinners, He loved us. While we were not good, He still loved us.
The love that Jesus has for you is not dependent on your character or performance. That love is what we are searching for. That perfect love is what we truly need.

3. Jesus came into the world to give us freedom from the curse
Galatians 3:13
“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree.’”
The cross was meant for the one who is condemned—for sinners like you and me.
Jesus became a curse for us. He took the curse of the law upon Himself.
The place where Jesus died was meant for you and me, but He took our place.
The law says you must perform.
Grace says, “It is finished.”
Jesus says:
“I have paid the price for all your sins. I have paid it all.”
Freedom is not free. Someone has to pay the price for freedom.
Jesus paid that price on the cross for us.
