We often think we are wise and that our education or academic achievements are enough. But as Christians, we are called to rely on God above our own understanding.
- The Word of God is above everything else.
- There may be facts, evidence, and scientific proofs, but God’s truth is higher.
World’s Logic vs. God’s Truth
- The world says:
- “Save $1 and you earn $1.”
- God says: “Give, and it will be given to you.” (Luke 6:38)
- The world says:
- “Get revenge.”
- God says:
“If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other also.” (Matthew 5:39)
God’s Kingdom often works opposite from the world’s system.
— Saying “No” to the World
God is love, but love does not mean agreeing with everything the world accepts.
Examples mentioned:
- The world says LGBTQ lifestyles are okay.
- The world says God doesn’t exist.
A Christian responds:
“No, man.”
A Christian life is a life of saying no to sin and the devil and yes to God.

Human Cell Illustration
- One human cell has incredible complexity.
- Our bodies contain about 37 trillion cells.
— Nothing cannot create something.
— If something does not exist, it cannot create anything.
“You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”

F.A.I.T.H.
Faith is more than one idea.
It involves:
- Believing
- Trusting
- Depending
- Relying
Believing:
Faith includes believing.
But faith is more than simply believing facts.
Trusting:
You must know God in order to trust Him.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
(Proverbs 3:5–6)
Know Him → Trust Him.
Depending:
Depending on God means continuing to trust Him even when everything is lost.
The world sees dependence on God as foolishness.
Deuteronomy 8:3
“Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Relying:
How do we rely on God?
- Read His Word.
- Spend time with Him personally.
- God speaks through Scripture.

God still works today.
Malachi 3:6
“For I the Lord do not change.”
He still heals.
- The mute speak.
- The deaf hear.
- The blind see.

Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
The same Jesus who worked in the Bible still works today.

“Let Us make mankind in Our image.”
We are made in God’s image.
Be careful with your words—even how you speak about yourself and your appearance.

We were created to:
- Worship God
- Have fellowship with God
- Have a relationship with God
Galatians 6:14
“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Our confidence should be in Christ alone.
God created humans uniquely.
- We can communicate with Him.
- We have free will.
- We were made for relationship with Him.
God saw Adam was lonely.
He didn’t create another man for companionship.
He created Eve.
John 4
Jesus asked the Samaritan woman for water.
Despite cultural divisions:
- Her background didn’t matter.
- Her tribe didn’t matter.
- Her social status didn’t matter.
Jesus saw someone made in God’s image. God desires relationship with people.

You are not defined by your identity alone but by your actions.
True character is shown:
Not by what you do in front of people, but by what you do when no one is watching.
Everyday Christianity. Don’t be a someday Christian. Be an everyday Christian.

Personal Testimony
God’s power was manifested in his life.
But he gave this analogy:
The moon reflects the light of the sun.
As sons of God, we should reflect the Son.
Psalm 23:1–4
God remained his Shepherd through his darkest valley.

Before Christ:
- He spent money meant for his children on drugs.
- He searched for pleasure and peace in the world.
- Addiction controlled his life.
Yet:
- His wife stayed beside him.
- His mother kept praying.
- His father kept praying.
Although people warned his wife not to marry him, she remained faithful. He eventually entered rehab. Even though people said addiction wasn’t curable, he turned fully to God’s Word. He had no one left to depend on except God.

God taught him what grace truly means.
Romans 5:8
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Illustration:
Imagine someone covered in dirt needing a shower.
Do they clean themselves before taking a shower?
No.
They come dirty.
Likewise, we come to Christ as sinners.
The Holy Spirit is the One who cleans us.
God loved him before he became clean.
God blessed him with a faithful wife who chose him despite his brokenness.
2 Corinthians 12:9–10
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness…”
God’s strength is displayed most clearly through our weakness.

Salvation is:
- By grace
- Through faith
- A gift from God
- Not earned by works
We are God’s workmanship, created for good works.

Salvation comes by:
- Believing in your heart.
- Confessing Jesus as Lord.

While attending Bible school:
- He threw away his drugs.
- His withdrawal symptoms disappeared.
- His cravings disappeared.
He asked God to confirm it through Scripture.
God led him to: 1 John 2:17
“The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
He asked God again for confirmation.
God reminded him of the woman with the issue of blood—a picture of persistent faith that reaches out to Jesus and receives complete healing.
