There’s going to be a time when God places you where He has anointed you to be, because He has a purpose for you.
David ran away from the king he served so the king wouldn’t kill him. He served King Saul, but Saul did not want to die by the hands of his enemy, so he killed himself.
— 1 Chronicles 11:1–9
David became king after running away multiple times. Before David killed Goliath, he had already been anointed to be king over Israel.
David knew he was called to be king, but he was not king yet, so he continued serving the king who was already there. He could have killed the king two or three times, but he did not lay a hand on him.
- He did not touch the leader he was supposed to serve.
- He didn’t complain.
Cancel culture:
If somebody doesn’t do what you like, you cancel them.
We stop running to God, and instead we run to our friends. We talk too much to each other and not enough to God.
When you get to your anointed place — the calling you’re in, the position you keep praying for — that’s not the end. That’s only the beginning.
David became king and did not stop there. He became greater and greater after becoming king.
His calling and anointing were to be a king.
When God places you where He has called you to be, it’s only the beginning. When we step into our calling, we keep building and expanding.
Getting a position is only the beginning.
When you get there, you’re going to need more prayer, more reading, and more time with Jesus.
When you step into the anointing God has called you into, it’s only the beginning.
God will bring you into your calling, and He will anoint you.
We need the presence of God to become greater and greater. When God places you into your calling, it will grow because He is with you — not just because you pray or read the Bible, though that is still important.
Read and pray, and you will know the will of God.
We must acknowledge that He is with us whether we feel it or not. The presence of God is always with us.
When you step into your calling, it’s not the end — it’s the beginning.
Whether we feel it or not, we must know that He is with us.
- It gives us confidence.
- It keeps us from doing stupid things.
- It makes us want to talk to God more when we know He is always with us.
Feelings can lie, but knowing is the truth.
When you step into your calling:
- It’s not the end, it’s the beginning.
- Always know Jesus is with you, whether you feel it or not. With an awareness of His presence, He will continue to make you greater.
A lot of the time, we don’t feel the presence of God because we ignore it.
When we recognize the presence of God, we can become confident — not because of our own ability, but because grace allows us to.
