May 20 – Living Well

“Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

———————

Jesus is the Living Water. When He spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, He was not talking about physical water but about spiritual fulfillment.

Every person has a thirst deep within their soul… a longing and desires. Many people try to quench that thirst with success, relationships, money, popularity, entertainment, or achievements. Yet no matter how much they gain, they find themselves thirsty again.

———————

Jesus offers himself, to satisfy the deepest needs of our heart because he is the source of Life.

An empty well cannot provide water no matter how desperately someone lowers a bucket into it. In the same way, the world often offers empty wells that promise satisfaction but leave us dry and disappointed. Many of us keep returning to those wells, hoping they will finally satisfy us.

Don’t drink from empty wells; drink from the source. Don’t depend only on resources when you have access to the one who supplies them.

A resource can help for a season, but Jesus sustains us for a lifetime!!

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for being the Living Water for my soul, being the one who satisfies my every need. Help me to run to You whenever I am thirsty and searching for fulfillment. Let Your presence refresh my heart, renew my spirit, and draw me closer to You each day. Remind me that You are my source, my strength, and my satisfaction. Let Your presence refresh my heart and remind me that You are my source, my strength, and my satisfaction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
