Heart Posture
📖 Proverbs 4:23
“Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.”
• Two people may “come to God,” but only one is actually seeking Him.
Some people eat whatever they want because they went to the gym. Others eat intentionally because their lifestyle is built around training.
Outwardly, both may lift the same weights, follow the same routines, and show up to the same place. But inwardly, the motivation is different. One treats discipline as a temporary excuse — I worked out, so I can eat this and do that. The other treats discipline as a way of life — I train because this is who I am becoming.
The difference isn’t effort. It’s the posture of the heart.
In the same way, some people pursue God only when they need something. When life feels heavy. When guilt sets in. When circumstances push them toward Him. God becomes a response, not a pursuit.
True faith, like disciplined training, shows up in small, everyday choices — in the rhythms that shape our hearts long before we feel desperate.
So what does the rhythm of your life say about what your heart is trained to seek?
Are you trained to seek Him — or only driven to Him?
