Everything has a season.
The person sitting next to you today may be gone one day. You’re living in a busy schedule, but I want to remind you that everything has a season.
The wise man Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 3:2–8 that everything has a season. Even as humans, we are born and one day we will die. We don’t know how long we are going to stay here on earth.
When God created everything—humans and all things—He gave them purpose and power. Yes, God created us with purpose, but at the same time, everything has a season.
For example, if you’re in middle school, you may want to go to high school right away. But you can’t, because your season right now is middle school. And you cannot go back once that season has passed.
Everything has a season and a purpose. Even in this season, God has a purpose for your life.
Even if you want to go back, you can’t. Time is limited in this life.
The most important thing is to know the purpose of your life—what God wants you to do in this season.
Your life is important as a middle school student, a high school student, and even as a college student.
Many people want to come to youth service. Thank God we have the chance to come. It’s not because of our strength, but because of His goodness.
I just want you to know that being busy is not always good. Purpose is what’s important. I don’t mean you shouldn’t be busy, but do what you can and make sure you focus on what is most important in this season of your life.
Being busy does not mean your life is effective.
Being busy is not the same as being fruitful.
Sometimes busyness drains you. It can lead to burnout.
Balancing life is not just 50/50—school 50, work 50. The real question is: which one is most important?
Working here and there is not true balance. God calls us to be fruitful. Living in His calling is living a balanced life.
If you keep working where you are not called, you waste time and energy, and you won’t grow. But if you work where God has called you, you will be fruitful. You may not give as much time as others, but in God’s calling, even a short time can be fruitful.
The problem is this: what is most important?
Seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33).
In Matthew 25:14–15, there were three servants.
One received five talents.
One received two talents.
One received one talent.
The master’s purpose was multiplication—investment. He gave to each according to their ability—what they could handle.
For example, a musician can hear a note and play it on an instrument. Not everyone has the same talent, but they can serve the same purpose. The purpose was to multiply.
Use the talent God has given you and multiply your ability.
If you keep attending school but don’t learn anything, what’s the point of going to school? In the same way, going to youth service is to gain biblical knowledge and grow spiritually.

1) God trusted you with something.
Serve Him with your abilities. With the gifts He has given you, multiply them.
You may doubt yourself and the gifts you have. But instead of doubting, think about how you can multiply your gifts.
In 1 Timothy 4:12, it says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you.” Don’t give excuses or reasons. God uses people of all ages. Your age is not the most important thing. Your intelligence is not the most important thing. Your skills are not the most important thing.
With the gifts He has given you, start serving. He trusts you and has given you His talents.
Paul said to set an example for the believers.

2) Stop Comparing
Lucifer became Satan when he started comparing himself to God.
When you compare yourself to your friends, and you realize you are more talented, pride can enter your heart. You may think, “I’m better than them” or “I’m more talented than them.”
That is pride.
But when you realize someone is better than you, you may feel shame and look down on yourself.
Instead, Matthew 6:33 says to seek first His Kingdom, and all these things will be given to you.

3) Burying Happens When Fear Leads
The servant with two talents multiplied them and gained two more. But the servant with one talent buried his. The master took it from him and gave it to the one with five talents.
Do not bury your talents—multiply them.
If you keep burying the gifts you have, one day you may end up with none.
We don’t have to be perfect to be faithful. No one is perfect—not even the richest person. Only Jesus is perfect.
You don’t have to wait until you are perfect to serve faithfully. Be faithful with what you have right now.
You don’t have to be perfect to be faithful.
Luke 16:10 says, “One who is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.”
If you are faithful with small things, you will be entrusted with greater things.
