Feb 14 – Thirsty No More

Speaker: Sia Kim Pu — Thirsty No More

When you look at social media, you see many love stories. Our generation sees a lot of love—but most of it doesn’t last. Maybe it lasts a few months or even a year, but it often ends.

Communication is easy. Phones are easy. But finding the right person is not easy. Everyone is searching for real love.

What we often see is love that disappears when it becomes inconvenient. Love based on appearance, physical attraction, or attention. It feels good for a moment—but when it ends, it leaves you empty because it wasn’t true love.

The Bible says you don’t have to keep searching for love in places that cannot hold you. God’s love is not seasonal, shallow, or temporary. God’s love is living.

Don’t chase love. Wait for the right love. When the time is right, love will find you.

Application:

• Instead of focusing on finding the right person, focus on becoming the right person.

• Stay planted—spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.

Look at their character:

— Do they love God? Are they faithful?

The Bible says not to marry someone who doesn’t share your faith. Make sure the person you choose loves Jesus.

• John 4:6–10

Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well. Jews did not usually speak to Samaritans, yet Jesus spoke to her.

She carried shame and avoided people. But Jesus came looking for her.

The world says, “Fix yourself first.”

Jesus says, “I will meet you where you are and change you from the inside out.”

• 1 John 4:19 — We love because He first loved us.

1) The World Gives Water That Doesn’t Satisfy

• John 4:13–14

Worldly water makes you thirsty again. Relationships, attention, and validation feel good for a moment—but they don’t last.

Jesus gives living water—His grace, His Spirit, His life. When you drink from Him, you will not be empty inside.

Living Water = The Love and Life of God Poured Into You

• John 4:16–18

When Jesus spoke about her past, He wasn’t shaming her. He revealed the truth to heal her.

God’s love is honest but never humiliating. He corrects to restore, not to embarrass.

The world teaches change from the outside in. Jesus changes you from the inside out.

2) God’s Love Is a Person, Not a Performance

You don’t earn living water. Jesus offered it freely.

You cannot love right or date right unless you are filled first.

The Samaritan woman who once avoided everyone became the woman who invited everyone.

When her inside changed, her outside changed.

Drink the living water—and you will be thirsty no more.
